It remains difficult to predict when the corona virus pandemic will subside, or whether we will see a second wave. We would like to consider how we can get back to normal business in such uncertain times, so at Okamura, we have divided dealing with corona virus into three phases.

DESIGN STRATEGIES: FOR SAFE & SECURE WORKPLACES

1. Design for Safe Distance
Prevent densely populated areas by configuring the layout, seating position and orientation to ensure social distancing ismaintained.

2. Design for Separation
If the distance or orientation between people does not allow for social distancing, we can use panels or other means to physically separate employees to reduce the risk of infection.

3. Design for Contactless

4. Design for Cleanliness
It is important to ensure thorough cleaning, including a review of frequency and scope. Consideration must be given to the air quality & ventilation, furniture, and materials used in the interior.
