Good Design (Japan)
Japan - Japan Institute of Design Promotion
Good Design Award is Japanese comprehensive design evaluation and commendation system, operated by the Japan Institute of Design Promotion. The system has its origins in the "Good Design Selection System" (known as the "G-Mark System") instituted by the Ministry of International Trade and Industry of Japan in 1957. Distinguished design experts examine the entries. These experts are selected from various industries for assessing the worthy of the Good Design Award. Whether product can bless and enrich society and people's lives through its design or not is the largest deciding factor.
