Alias is an Italian company with faith in “I feel it”. All Alias products, with their highly expressive minimal style and excellent craftsmanship, offer solutions to the various requirements of residential, contract and outdoor applications.
Alias’s story began in 1979 with Giandomenico Belotti’s Spaghetti chair, the first Alias chair to appear in the MoMA collection of New York. This chair is a symbol in the history of design: Chair with steel structure and seats and backs in the distinctive woven PVC, available in various coloured versions. Later, the partnership with Alberto Meda gave a new, significant impulse to the company with the development of the Lightlight (1987) and the Frame Chair (1994). The Frame chair is characterised by an extruded aluminium structure and coloured polyester mesh seat. It is a successful collection which over the years has become an icon of the brand.
The solid industrial structure of Alias is also one of the key factors to her success. The factory, located in Grumello del Monte, close to Bergamo, can count on a distribution network of around 1000 stores in 50 countries throughout the world.
